We do not accept any liability for the correctness of the technical drawings. Prior to installation, please measure for yourself once more, so you can consider regular manufacturing tolerances.

Please note that the technical data can also vary slightly, depending on the surface color. This is due to the difference in the galvanic coating and the galvanic layering, which depends on the color (nickel, chrome etc).

The technical drawings can be printed on one page width. Should the technical drawings not fit on one page, however, please check your print page setup (note: they can be several pages long).

FAQ

FAQ40001 The screw holes for my Schaller security locks too are large?

Our screw dimensions are suitable for the majority of guitars such as Fender, Gibson, PRS etc. Unfortunately, it goes without saying that we cannot develop an individual security lock for every possible individual case. A larger screw alone will not suffice, as the base and the lock must also be suitably enlarged at the same time.

A method that has proved appropriate for achieving this is to fill the existing screw hole with an epoxy resin before drilling a new hole of the appropriate size. Never drill at the base to enlarge the hole for a larger screw, as doing so will void any warranty.

FAQ40020 Can I also use Schaller security locks on acoustic guitars?

Theoretically yes, but you must screw our security locks into the frame reinforcement and not into the open frame. You can then also use our Schaller security locks on your acoustic guitars without any problems.

FAQ40030 Where can I get replacement parts for Schaller Security Locks?
Please ask either your specialist music store or our wholesaler, both of whom will have our replacement part kits (see also product catalog) which contain all replacement parts.
FAQ40040 How do Schaller Security Locks work? How do I release the lock from the strap button?

You simply need to pull on the ball located above the screw thread. This releases the lock from the strap button so that you can remove the strap from the guitar. When you let go of the ball, the locking cylinder will snap securely back into the strap button.
